USA proxies — full guide for 2026
The USA is the largest and most competitive proxy market in the world. It's the default country for any scraping, marketing or research project: amazon.com, google.com, facebook.com, linkedin.com — all of them generate the bulk of their traffic from US IPs. Here's how to pick a stack.

Why the USA is its own category
Half of all scraping work is one way or another tied to the USA: e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Best Buy), search engines (Google.com's primary audience is US), social networks (Meta, X, LinkedIn — English-first by default), streaming (Netflix US catalog). A US pool is the bare minimum for any provider.
What's specific about the market:
- Largest pools — Bright Data 40M+ IPs, Oxylabs 30M+, SOAX 25M+ for the US alone
- Strictest anti-bot — Cloudflare, Akamai, Datadome on top sites
- Best geo precision — down to ZIP code at Bright Data, GeoSurf
- Highest CPM for affiliate work — the US audience monetises best
Which proxy types to pick
For e-commerce scraping (Amazon, Walmart, eBay):
Residential rotating with a US pool. Decodo, SOAX, Bright Data — top 3. Datacenter doesn't fly because of ASN blocks.
For Google SERP:
Bright Data SERP API, or residential with custom User-Agent rotation. Don't use datacenter — the rate-limit will burn you.
For multi-account (FB Ads, Instagram):
Mobile dedicated on a US carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T). iProxy.online and MobileProxy.Space have US-based farmers.
For sneakers and ticket drops:
ISP / static residential. Rayobyte has historically specialised in the US sneaker community.
Legal context
The US is the most scraping-friendly jurisdiction. The hiQ Labs vs LinkedIn (2019) precedent established that automated collection of publicly available data does not violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. In 2024, Meta vs Bright Data reaffirmed that scraping public data is legal.
What you can't do:
- Scrape authenticated content without permission (logged-in social profiles)
- Bypass CAPTCHAs on closed resources
- Store/resell personal data without CCPA compliance
- DDoS or otherwise violate the CFAA
Regulatory environment
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) is the headline privacy regulation since 2020. If you process data of US residents and have $25M+ in revenue, you fall under CCPA. Smaller companies are exempt.
FTC regulates affiliate marketing. Any project with referral links needs a clear disclosure (we keep ours in the footer).
For US projects we recommend starting with Decodo or SOAX residential — the best mix of price, quality and legal posture. If you need maximum speed and full compliance — Bright Data or Oxylabs.
