Browser extension — support
Answers to the questions the PROXYDECK extension actually raises, and one address to reach us at.
This page covers the PROXYDECK browser extension. For anything about the catalog itself, see About PROXYDECK.
Contact
Write to [email protected] — bug reports, data corrections and privacy questions all reach the same place. Please include your browser and version, and the provider site you were on. We answer in English and Ukrainian.
The card does not appear on a provider's site
- The extension only runs on a fixed list of proxy-service domains that ships inside the package. If the site is not on that list — for example a service we have never covered — nothing is shown by design. Tell us the domain and we will consider adding it.
- You may have hidden the card on that site: the footer link "Don't show on this site · 7 days" sets a one-week snooze for that provider, subdomains included. Open the toolbar popup on the same site to see the reminder and undo it.
- The automatic popup can be switched off entirely in the toolbar popup, under Settings. The verdict is still available by clicking the extension icon.
- After installing or updating, already-open tabs need a reload — content scripts are not injected into pages that were loaded earlier.
A provider shows no score
Two different states, both deliberate:
- "In testing" with a dash instead of a number — the provider is new to the catalog and has not been through our benchmark run yet. We do not publish a score before we have measured one.
- "No review yet" — we know the service but have not reviewed it. The card shows vetted alternatives instead of an invented rating.
The data about a provider looks wrong
Prices, pool sizes and features change, and we would rather hear about it than be out of date. Mail us with the provider and what is inaccurate; corrections we can verify are applied to the catalog, and the extension picks them up within hours without an update. Providers may also contact us directly about their own listing.
Language and appearance
The extension speaks English, Ukrainian, German, French and Spanish. By default it follows your browser language; you can pin one in the toolbar popup under Settings, along with the light/dark theme.
Privacy
The extension collects no browsing data — page addresses never leave your browser. The full explanation of what is stored locally and what reaches our server is in the extension privacy policy.
How scores are produced
Seven weighted categories measured in weekly runs from four markets, with the weights published. See the methodology. Affiliate relationships do not affect scores — that is covered in the affiliate disclosure.
